This is my first mechanical keyboard and I'm loving it. I'm used to a full-size (80-100%) keyboard but the 75% size isn't too bad.
really great but should also come with German Layout (QWERTZ) and setting it up in the va app is difficult
it was great, it sounds amazing and the spacebar sounds heavenly, rgb is pretty good but my only complaint is that i feel like it should be a little cheaper considering that there are other options like this one for cheaper, so i highly recommend lowering the price by like 10 or 20 dollars i am just saying that i don't know how much you would make for profit if you lowered it but overall great keyboard HIGHLY RECOMMEND
In trying to set up the keyboard for Mac, I mapped the function key to match a Mac keyboard layout and the keyboard immediately bricked itself. Because FN is apparently necessary to access the keyboard’s own functions, it’s now impossible to switch between wired and wireless and it is stuck trying to connect to a computer. It doesn’t identify itself as trying to pair and also doesn’t work in wired mode. There is seemingly no way to reset it without using FN, and wobkey has ignored my support requests. Now I have a useless paperweight. This is just bad design. You shouldn’t be able to completely brick a device with no recourse simply by using the editor software (VIA) recommended by the manufacturer.
The keyboard itself is fantastic.
- Amazing build
- Amazing feel
- Amazing sound
One thing was a struggle because it didn’t work “out of the box”. Basically, it doesn’t have a right alt key, so I had to remap the keys to suit my needs. Usually I do this using the VIA app. For some reason, this is the only keyboard so far that was not recognised natively by VIA app.
While WOBKEY does provide all the necessary files needed to make it work, there is still lack of proper documentation/guide, and as a result I had to spend several hours trying to make it work. Even some person called Penguin on their discord, while trying, wasn’t really able to actually help with my issue. In the end, a weird combination of trial and error and a video on the same issue (also rainy keyboard lol) helped solve the issue.
