1. VIA JSON compatibility — Rainy 75

Symptom: VIA may not recognize the keyboard, or behaves inconsistently, when loaded with an incorrect or non-compliant JSON definition file.

Affected: Rainy 75 (VIA remapping over wired & 2.4G).

What to do now: download the JSON for your exact board revision from wiki.wobkey.com and load it manually in VIA's Design tab. Loading a JSON for the wrong revision can make the board appear dead in VIA — recovery steps are in the wiki.

Community credit: community member trkw published an independently fixed JSON for V2 boards before we did. Thank you — genuinely. We're reviewing it alongside our official definitions.

2. 2.4G wireless drop-outs — Rainy 75 (community reports)

Symptom: intermittent disconnects or lag on the 2.4G connection, reported by some users in community threads.

What to do now: re-pair the receiver, plug the receiver into a front/direct USB port (not a hub), keep the receiver within line of sight, and make sure you're on the latest firmware from wiki.wobkey.com. Full steps: Rainy 75 troubleshooting.

3. Power switch location — Rainy 75 (design note, not a defect)

What it is: the power switch sits under the Caps Lock keycap. Several reviewers called this out as hard to find — fair. Pull the Caps Lock keycap straight up to reach the switch.

Status: Documented · noted for future design review


4. Charging & battery reports (community reports)

Symptom: scattered reports of boards not waking or not charging as expected.

What to do now: charge for 30 minutes with the included cable before troubleshooting, check the power switch (see #3), then follow the charging checklist. If it still won't wake, email support@wobkey.com with your order number.
