Five things go wrong most often. Work top-down inside your section — most boards are fixed by step two. Firmware, VIA JSONs and manuals all live at wiki.wobkey.com. Still stuck? support@wobkey.com with your order number and a short video helps us fix it fastest.

1. Wireless (2.4G / Bluetooth)

  • Confirm the board is on: the power switch is under the Caps Lock keycap — pull the cap to check.
  • 2.4G: plug the receiver into a direct USB port (not a hub or monitor), then re-pair per the manual on the wiki.
  • Bluetooth: remove the old pairing from your OS list first, then pair fresh.
  • Update to the latest firmware from the wiki — connection fixes ship in firmware.

2. Charging & battery

  • Charge 30 minutes with the included USB-C cable plugged into a wall adapter before judging anything.
  • Check the power switch position (see above) — an off board won't show charging behavior you expect.
  • Try another cable/port to rule the cable out.

3. Random or repeated inputs

  • Update firmware first — this class of issue is usually firmware-level.
  • Test wired: if wired is clean but wireless isn't, treat it as a wireless issue (section 1).
  • Re-seat the switch of the affected key (switches are hot-swappable).

4. VIA / remapping

  • Use the JSON for your exact board revision from wiki.wobkey.com; load it in VIA → Settings → Design tab.
  • VIA works over wired and 2.4G — not Bluetooth.
  • Wrong JSON loaded? The board may look dead in VIA — it isn't. Recovery steps are on the wiki. See also the issue ledger.

5. Firmware

  • Download only from wiki.wobkey.com, match your exact model and revision, and follow the steps in order.
  • If an update fails midway, don't unplug — repeat the flashing steps from the wiki.
